IWD 2025: How we are accelerating action
Recently, our Founding Partner Sashi Pararajasingam shared her own career journey on our blog and also on LinkedIn, as she wanted to inspire women and those who were coming into the law later in life.
On International Women’s Day we want to continue to inspire, and therefore this is the perfect day to share two initiatives that we are launching. As a new firm, we have the opportunity to do things differently and push barriers in order to effect real change in the legal world.
Mentoring Scheme
This mentoring scheme will be lead by Sashi. She will meet with a small group each month to discuss and inspire them through their journeys into law. The sessions will be designed to encourage candid discussion, and be an opportunity for the mentees to bounce ideas around with one another and Sashi. Sashi wants the sessions to be open and welcoming for attendees.
Work Experience
We are also committed to offering two one-week work experience opportunities per year. During the week, the Interns will be fully involved in the work that Sashi and the team undertake. We are aiming for it to be an engaging and fulfilling experience that the Interns benefit from.
We are proud to say the work-experience will be offered at the London Living Wage. We want this opportunity to be as accessible as possible, and we hope that by offering paid work experiences we are achieving this. When Sashi was a paralegal, she was a single-mother to four young children. As such, she was unable to take any experiences that were unpaid. We want to be a firm that is able to provide opportunities for people from varied backgrounds.
